FEATURES AND BENEFITS
OVERVIEW
The Carlisle AT489 II is an all terrain, all season tire manufactured for ATV and UTV vehicles. The tire comes with two ratings. The two and three-star rated sized can be used on road, while the four-star rated ones are not meant for highway use. This model is the next generation of the original AT489 model.
The tire offers excellent traction. The special tire compound and tread design ensure exceptional traction on all terrain conditions. The high void ratio and tread block design increase the tire’s surface gripping ability on loose, rough and uneven terrains. The model’s internal lightweight structure keeps its strength, while the reinforced compound is puncture resistant and shock absorbent. The enhanced strength allows the tire to confidently conquer all terrain conditions and ensures a safer driving experience.
The enhanced traction increases the tire’s handling and controllability. The tread pattern’s constant road contact improves the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. Even on extreme surfaces the model is quick and precise in its steering responsiveness to the driver’s commands. The road contact ensures superb stability against the driving pressure affecting the tire. In this manner, the driver can confidently control the tire in all situations.
The AT489 II maintains a constant clean footprint. The tread design’s high void ratio and unique tread blocks ensure that they maintain their self-cleaning ability. Sand, dirt and mud are dispersed from between the tread elements during the drive, which actively avoids the tread design from being blocked from its contact with the surface.
This specific tire model features a BIASED ply construction.
When it comes to ATV tires, there might be slight visual differences between brands and models even if the tires are of the same size.
