OVERVIEW

The Hankook AM09 is a highway terrain， all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. It was made to be mounted on all axle positions.

The tire promotes great all weather traction. The tread pattern and the all season tire compound improve the dry， wet and winter weather traction by improving the tire's grip on the road surface. The symmetric tread features solid shoulder ribs and a continuous center tread block sequence with zigzag circumferential grooves and a multi-angle siping detail. These tread elements increase the grip the tire has on the road surface. The all season compound keeps the tire's rubber flexibility throughout the year， including in colder temperature winter weather. The tread's circumferential grooves help prevent hydroplaning. They disperse water and slush from below the tire's footprint and ensure a secure wet and winter weather performance.

The model is easily controlled in various conditions. The symmetric tread's constant road contact and the tire's wide footprint with the solid shoulder ribs increase the tire's steering responsiveness and driving stability. The tread pattern enhances the tire's road contact to upgrade the steering response time and accuracy， while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the model. The tread's zigzag groove pattern and special multi-angled sipes improve the braking ability. They create friction at the moment of braking， which greatly shortens the braking distance. The better controllability upgrades the model's controllability and driving safety.

The tire promotes a lengthened tread life. The wear-resistant tire compound and the symmetric design boost the tread life and the tire's usability. The wear-resistant durable tire compound significantly slows the tread wear rate down， which extends the tire's life. The symmetric tread pattern improves the driving pressure distribution along the tread area. The equally spread out forces of acceleration， cornering and braking avoids the formation of uneven tread wear on the tire's surface， which extends the tire's service life.

The model's strengthened internal structure improves its load handling ability. The reinforced carcass cord construction and the high-strength bead wire maintain the tire's ideal shape during its performance. They prevent the shape's deformation under the driving and load pressure affecting the model. In this manner， the tire is capable of carrying and withstanding heavy loads with ease， which significantly increases the tire's heavy load durability and makes it perfect for commercial application.

The AM09 is able to safely perform on off-road terrain surfaces as well. The detailed tread design improves the model's grip both on- and off-road to enhance the tire's versatility. The off-road performing capability is further improved with the tire's special stone ejectors. They eliminate rocks stuck between the tread elements and promote a safer driving ability. This prevents rocks from damaging the tire's casing by drilling into the tread area， which increases the off-road driving durability. As a result， the tire offers a secure off-road driving capability.

As the manufacturers only provide the tire width and the rim diameter with these tires， various brands and models will have size differences. In order to ensure the correct size is purchased， the overall tire diameter that is needed should be checked.

The Overall Diameter or O.D. advertized represents the tire's overall diameter in inches， once the tire has been properly inflated and mounted per the manufacturer's recommendation. This advertised number is provided to Priority Tire by the tire manufacturer.
