OVERVIEW

The Hankook Ventus S1 Evo2 KT is a high performance， summer tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.

The tire ensures excellent summer traction. The asymmetric tread design and the silica-based tire compound work together to increase the dry and wet weather road gripping ability. The asymmetric tread elements increase their grip on the road surface by offering additional biting edges. The silica compound provides a secure grip and traction in such conditions with its optimized rubber materials. The tread’s circumferential grooves and special cooling system decrease the possibility of hydroplaning. They disperse water and slush from below the footprint and upgrade the wet weather driving security.

The model’s tread design also improves its controllability. The special Kontrol technology combines the tread’s 3D siping design， the structure’s wide twin steel belts and high stiffness bead filler to upgrade the driving stability and the steering responsiveness. The upgraded contact with the road surface enhances the tire’s quickness and accuracy in its response to the driver’s commands， while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the model. The tire’s internal structure features wide steel belts， a rayon carcass liner and a high stiffness bead filler that work to upgrade the high speed performing capability. These enhancements upgrade the high speed driving ability and provide full control over the vehicle to the driver.

The tread design and optimal compound work together to decrease the model’s rolling resistance. The tread’s cooling system with the narrow groove lines and the intercoolers prevent heat build-up along the tread area， while the silica compound optimizes the traction in different conditions. The Ventus S1 Evo2 KT was designed with special alignment indicators. These indicators are located on the tire’s tread， parallel to the shoulders. They wear out along with the tread. They visually portray the tire’s tread wear rate and manner. Their wear pattern represents the wear of the tire overall. If the two parallel alignment indicators wore out identically， the tire has an even tread wear. However， if there is a difference， it means that the tire is wearing in an irregular manner. In such cases the vehicle’s alignment should be checked before the tire develops an irregular wear pattern.
