FEATURES AND BENEFITS
OVERVIEW
The Michelin Latitude Sport (N0) is a high performance, summer tire manufactured for passenger and crossover vehicles. This model is the first approved original equipment tire of select Porsche vehicles.
The tire provides excellent summer weather traction. The asymmetric tread design and dual compound boost the dry and wet weather road gripping ability. The dual-purpose tread design splits the tread area up to a dry and wet weather area. The dry area features a silica and carbon black compound which ensures first-rate dry weather performance. The wet area is molded from a high-silica compound that keeps its road grip in wet weather. The wide circumferential grooves and lateral notches further boost the wet weather traction thanks to their excellent hydroplaning resistance. This is achieved as they disperse water from below the tire's footprint and promote a safer drive. This model is not meant to be driven in colder temperature winter conditions.
The model is easily controlled as well. Even during high speed performance, the tire maintains its exceptional road gripping ability and ensures a safer and more precise controllability. The tread design's three continuous center ribs keep the tire close to the road surface and upgrade the steering responsiveness and driving stability. As a result, the tire's steering becomes faster in its responsiveness and more accurate, while the tire's structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting it during the drive. The tread pattern's shoulder blocks firmly grip the road surface with additional biting edges during cornering. This ensures a safer cornering and maneuvering ability and power and guarantees a more secure performance in summer weather.
The Latitude Sport (N0)'s internal structure features twin high-tensile steel belts reinforced with individual aramid and nylon hybrid filaments that maintain the tire's optimal shape. This prevents the tire from deforming under the driving pressure affecting it. As the tire keeps its optimal shape during the drive, it is capable of performing to its utmost ability with ease. The optimized shape also allows the tire to closely follow the road surface. This decreases the shock of driving and lowers the road vibrations felt in the vehicle's cabin, promoting a safer and more comfortable driving experience.
This specific tire is marked with N0 as it is the original equipment of Porsche vehicles.
