OVERVIEW
The Michelin Primacy 3 ZP (*)(MO) is a performance and high performance, summer tire manufactured for passenger vehicles. This model is the original equipment tire for select BMW and Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
This tire model is the run flat version of the Michelin Primacy 3 model. Michelin used it's Zero Pressure (ZP) technology in manufacturing this tire, which makes it able to temporarily support the weight of the vehicle after the loss of air pressure. The tire can go for 50 miles at up to 50 mph after a puncture, as the ZP structure and the reinforced sidewalls support the weight of the vehicle and passengers.
The tire has excellent dry and wet traction. The tire's symmetrical tread pattern and special summer tire compound offer an enhanced grip on dry and wet road conditions. This model, however, is not suited to winter weather and low temperatures. The tire's circumferential and lateral grooves channel water from beneath the footprint. This helps it resist dangerous hydroplaning and makes it safer to use.
Michelin's Max Touch Constitution distributes the force of acceleration, braking and cornering along the tire's road contact area, preventing irregular wear along the tire's tread. This increases the tread life, but the reduced rolling resistance also contributes as it slows down the tire's wear rate. The Green X Technology lowers the rolling resistance, lessening the vehicles fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. The model becomes economically and environmentally friendly.
The new advanced tire compound and the symmetrical tread pattern mean a shortened braking distance on both dry and wet road surfaces. This new compound also enhances steering response and road feel. This enables the driver to respond to the changing road surface, conditions and situations easily and quickly, making the tire safer to use. The tire's high speed handling is also boosted with this enhancement.
The Michelin Primacy 3 ZP (*)(MO) was designed with the Comfort Control Technology, which reduces the road noise and the vibrations that penetrate the cabin of the vehicle. This improves the tire's comfort levels, making it the perfect touring tire.
