FEATURES AND BENEFITS
OVERVIEW
The Mickey Thompson ET Drag is a high performance, summer tire manufactured for racing vehicles.
The tire was produced to be used for drag racing. The special smooth tread design's flat footprint closely follows the road surface and it eases the driving pressure off the tire. This, along with the multiple compound blend used in the tire's manufacture, prevents heat build-up on the tire's surface. This lowers the need for a burnout at the start of the race. This tread design and compound mix increase the tire's acceleration and high speed performing capability.
The smooth tread and the durable compound work together to increase the tire's dry traction. The smooth tread, which does not feature any tread elements or sipes, keeps the tire's road contact at all times. The constant road contact and the multiple blend compound are capable of withstanding high heat traction and weather conditions, which ensure its excellent dry traction on the race track.
The ET Drag features a reinforced construction. The stronger internal structure manages to keep the ideal tire shape under the high speed driving pressure affecting the model. The increased durability prevents the shape's deformation under the driving and load pressure during the tire's performance. In this manner, the tire is capable of safely performing to its greatest high speed capability.
This specific tire model features a BIASED ply construction.
This version of Mickey Thompson's ET Drag model features a wider tread width.
